The Royals topped the White Sox 8-6 to win their sixth straight game. Brent Mayne was the hero for the second straight night, though his performance was more drawn out last night. On Tuesday he hit an 11th inning homer to beat the Rangers, but on Wednesday he belted four hits, four RBI’s and stole four bases, all career marks. Jeff Suppan was the winner, improving to 8-7 on the season. Roberto Hernandez got his 17th save. The Royals face the White Sox again this afternoon. Paul Byrd goes for his 13th win.
