A team approach to education involving lawmakers, legislators, parents, and students is being pushed by the head of the Missouri-National Education Association. President Greg Young says educators need to do some educating – of the public and the legislature – about the money needed to provide world-class education. He says communities must be involved in creating better schools.Young, who teaches fifth grade in the Ritenour School District in St. Louis County, says Missouri might have only one unaccredited district – but has many districts that need big improvements.
