Farm Bureau Takes Neutral Position On Transportation Issue

July 10, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The lack of certain accountability measures has prompted the Missouri Farm Bureau take a neutral stance on Proposition B – the ballot measure designed to raise an additional $500-Million for fixing roads in the state. Farm Bureau president Charlie Kruse says members of his group want more money for fixing roads and guarantees any new taxes raised would be spent on that. Farm Bureau officials say this is the first time the group has notendorsed a major highway funding proposal submitted to a public vote. Kruse says staying neutral is the responsible thing for his organization to do.
