It appers one of Branson’s big music theatres is going to become a church. Singer Mel Tillis is expected to announce later today that his theatre is being sold to the family that owns the Hobby Lobby Stores. It’s expectedthat the building will be leased to the Assemblies of God church. Tillis has performed in Branson since 1990, built the theatre in 1992, and is considered a leading figure in the Branson Boom of the 1990s. He’ll be 70 next month and has said he wants to cut back his performance schedule.
