The Department of Mental Health’s Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse launches a nine-city tour today to promote substance abuseprevention. The Department’s Jeanne Henry says there are high hopes for this effort. The tour is aimed primarily at young people and at communityorganizations dealing with those going through substance abuse problems. The first rally is set for noon today in Kansas City, with the final stop in Columbia on August 1st. In between, the tour will make stops in St. Joseph, Kirksville, Sikeston, St. Louis, Hannibal, Carthage, andSpringfield.
