Cardinal pitcher Matt Morris backed out of playing in tonight’s All-Star game to rest his back and mind. Morris who was close to Darryl Kile wants to use the time to get his mind straight. Morris’ decision left the door open for fellow Cardinals Albert Pujols to make his way onto the squad, but National League Manager Bob Brenly opted instead to go with Giants reliever Rob Nen.
