The organization representing people who say they have been abused by priests wants the St. Louis Archdiocese to release figures showing how much is has paid to people who filed abuse claims against priests in the Archdiocese. Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests wants St. Louis to do what the Belleville, Illinois, diocese did a month ago, when it revealed it had spent $2.8-Million on sexual abuse cases in the last decade. The St. Louis Archdiocese says it has spent $1.6-Million in the last two decades, but it has not given a breakdown of how the money was spent.
