How about a wedding day that features a bomb threat, the theft of a pickup truck, and attempted strangling of the bride, and the bride shooting a stranger five times? Wentworth resident Charlotte Ann Neely-White won’t forget this wedding day. The Sheriff’s Office tells the Springfield News-Leader a stranger showed up in Neely-White’s driveway in a car and said had a bomb in it. Officers say the man tried to choke her with a riding crop when she refused to let him have her pickup truck. She got free, got a pistol, there was a struggle for the gun, it went off, he was shot in the chest, got the pickup anyway and took off. He was picked up later in Monett.
