The State Supreme Court has set an August 14th execution date for Daniel Basile, convicted of killing a Webster Groves woman in 1992. Basile had been hired by Richard De Caro to kill De Caro’s wife, Elizabeth. Basile did so by shooting Elizabeth De Caro. De Caro was convicted by a federal jury of conspiracy to murder his wife. He is currently serving a life sentence.
