He’ll never be elected into the Hall of Fame. He was never an All-Star. In fact, Pete Gray played just one year in the majors, hitting a paltry .218 with the St. Louis Browns in 1945. But the fact that Pete Gray played at all was amazing; he had only one arm. Gray died at the age of 87 yesterday.
