Balloonist Steve Fossett is on the last leg of his solo balloon flight around the world and could touch down in Australia at dusk Wednesday ormaybe at dawn on the Fourth of July. Mission control at Washington University in St. Louis says his balloon is in a jet stream 30,000 feet up, and blowing along at speeds of as much as 200 miles an hour. He’s travelled farther than any solo ballonist in history – more than 17,000 miles so far.
