Cards/Royals Send One Apiece to All-Star Game

The Cardinals and Royals will have one representative apiece in this years All-Star Game in Milwaukee. Bob Brenly selected St. Louis starting pitcher Matt Morris to the National League squad. Morris is 10-5 on the season. Kansas City first baseman Mike Sweeney wasn’t voted on, but Joe Torre couldn’t ignore his .361 average and added him as a reserve to the American League team. Brenly and Torre’s players will be well represented. Six Diamondbacks and six Yankees will suit up for the mid-summer classic on July 9th.
