Mike Sweeney hit a two-run homer in the second inning to give the Royals 2-0 lead, they never looked back. Roberto Hernandez notched his 13th save of the year, and his third in as many days. The win completed a sweep of the Tigers. The Royals welcome the Padres to town this weekend.
