Kareem Rush didn’t go as high as most thought, but he still went in the first round of yesterday’s NBA draft. The former Tiger was taken 20th by the Raptors, but was traded to the Lakers later in the evening. The Lakers also got forward Tracy Murray. The Raptors get guard Lindsey Hunter and Chris Jefferies, who was taken with the 27th pick. Fellow former Tiger Keyon Dooling had a similar situation when he was taken 10th in the 2000 draft by the Magic. He was traded to the Clippers later that evening. Rush is the 11th Tiger in history to go in the first round.
