Missouri Education Officials Wary Of Supreme Court Voucher Ruling

June 27, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri public school officials are concerned about today’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling upholding the use of taxpayer dollars to send children to private schools. Jim Morris of the State Education Department says there is only so much money available and vouchers could threaten funding for public schools. The Court ruling deals specifically with a Cleveland, Ohio, case in which parents have been provided with a government subsidy to help pay for private schooling.
