The legal challenge to Governor Bob Holden’s order giving state employees more collective bargaining rights is still alive at a higher level. A circuit judge has dismissed it, but Senator Peter Kinder says an appeals court hearing has been set for August 21st. Kinder had predicted dire consequences for state government a yearago when the order was issued. He says they haven’t happened yet. Holden says there have been no negative consequences to his order.
