The State Gaming Commission will consider proposals for a sixth casino in the St. Louis area. A consultant says a location in the south suburbs or downtown would be the most promising locations. The downtown recommendation comes despite the bankruptcy filing by a casino already there – the President Casino on the Admiral riverboat. The Commission’s Executive Director says the Commission would bereluctant to approve a new casino that would put the President out of business. The Commission thinks the President will be able to come out of bankruptcy eventually.
