Farmland Fires More Employees

Farmland Industries, the bankrupt farm cooperative, has fired 47 workers at its Kansas City offices and 56 more in other offices. Farmland says all of the emploees affected are managers or administrators. The company has dumped 300 workers since seeking bankruptcy protection May 31st. Farmland, which is headquartered in Kansas City, has about 9,000 employees affected by its bankruptcy filing.
