A small, southwest Missouri school district has become the only nonaccredited district in the state. The State School Board on Thursday voted to strip the Niangua School District of state accreditation due to low student test scores on standardized tests. State education officials pledge to work with the district so it can regain accreditation. If it cannot raise test scores in the next two years it could be taken over by the state.
