The St. Louis police chief has told some of his officers to talk to counselors, after those officers viewed videotapes of what a suspected serial killed had done. The tapes have been found in the home of Maury Travis, who hanged himself in his jail cell nine days ago. Police suspect him in the killings of at least ten women. He had claimed in a letter to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he might have killed as many as 17. The tapes were made in the basement of Travis’ home. They contained sexually explicit and violent acts. Only one of the women on the tape has been identified.
