Brian McBride is scoring when it counts. The former Saint Louis University All-American netted the game winning goal for the U.S. soccer team in their 2-0 win over Mexico early this morning in the World Cup. In America’s 3-2 win over Portugal, McBride scored the eventual winning goal, as well. The U.S. now moves on to the field of eight where they will face Germany on Friday. The American squad hasn’t gone this deep in the World Cup since 1930.
