Fire Marshal Says Wet Weather Beneficial

June 12, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The wet weather Missouri has experienced this Spring has angered some people, but not State Fire Marshal Bill Farr. He says the precipitation has been good because it’s helped Missouri prevent the wildfires we’ve seen burning their way across Colorado. But he cautions thing could change in a hurry, with dry weather moving in in just a couple of weeks. Farr points out it’s important for Missourians to be careful around open fires because even with the wet weather we’ve had, it doesn’t take muchto set a forest on fire.
