Courtney Victims To Collect Money

June 12, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Victims of Robert Courtney’s drug-dilution scheme will get almost two million dollars from Courtney’s wife. Courtney, the former Kansas City druggist, has pleaded guilty and is waiting to be sentenced. Just before federal authorities seized his assets, he transferred some of them to his wife. Her lawyer says the arrangement allows her to still have enough to get on with her life and raise her children. People claiming to be her husband’s victims have filed a civil lawsuit asking for Courtney’s assets–valued at eight to $12-Million. A court order has frozen them until their distribution can be determined.
