Missouri Congressman Questions Department Of Homeland Security Proposal

June 10, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

West-Central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton says a culture must be changed if the proposed Department of Homeland Security is to prove effective. Skelton says Congressional hearings have proven what has been suspectedfor some time: that the CIA and FBI haven’t been working well together. Skelton has been reluctant to totally support creation of the new cabinet-level agency. While he now gives it grudging support, he does insist it will do little good until the Bush Administration develops acomprehensive homeland security strategy.
