I-70 Renewed Tonight

June 7, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Battle of the Show-Me State will get underway at 7:05 in Kansas City as the Royals and Cardinals square of for the first of three this weekend. The Royals enter the game with a sense of renewed vigor with new manager Tony Pena. Kansas City is playing .500 ball since he took over last month. The Cardinals are in a similar situation. After starting slow, they find themselves just two games out of first in the N.L. Central. Tonight Paul Byrd will vie for his 9th win of the seaon. Darryl Kile looks to grab his 4th. Since interleague play began, the Royals have had the advantage, winning nine of the fifteen meetings between the two.
