June 5, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Rookie Pitcher Miguel Ascencio notched his first big-league win as the Royals topped the White Sox 3-2 at Comiskey. He got help from Mike Sweeney, Joe Randa, and Mark Quinn who drove in runs with singles. Ascensio went 6 and 1/3 innings for the win. Roberto Hernandez grabbed his 9th save. The game was delayed two hours because of rain.
