Health Officials Concerned About Missourians’ Weight Gains

Our weight is starting to concern public health officials, who hope to call Missourians to more healthy lifestyles. The State Health Department’s Bert Malone says 20-percent of the state population is considered overweight, up from about 13-percent ten years ago. He blames smoking, sedentary lifestyles and poor nutrition. He advises talking with a doctor, then doing what he says, even if that means a drastic lifestyle change.
