Bond Authors Bill Aimed At Terrorists Targeting Chemicals

When Capitol Hill lawmakers return to Washington next week, they’ll be presented with legislation which aims to make it more difficult for would-be terrorists to gain access to important information regarding chemicalfacilities. Senator Kit Bond is introducing a bill which would change current federal law allowing public access to sensitive information regarding, among other things, the storage of dangerous chemicals. Bond says Justice Department information indicates chemical facilities might be prime targets for terrorists who would wish to killlarge numbers of Americans.
