The Royals topped the Angels 7-4 in Kansas City last night, winning their fourth game in a row. Anaheim took a 3-0 lead in the first, but K.C. battled back. Michael Tucker, Neifi Perez, Luis Alicea, and Carlos Beltran drove in a run apiece in the fourth inning to give the Royals the lead for good. Starter Paul Byrd improved to 8-2, going 7 2/3’s innings. Roberto Hernandez recorded his 8th save. Tony Pena has a record of 7-6 since taking over for John Mizerock. It’s the first time a Royals manager has had a winning record since Bob Boone in September of 1995.
