K.C.’s Liberty Memorial Restoration Project Head Makes Vow

May 28, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The head of a group that spearheaded the restoration effort for Kansas City’s Liberty Memorial vows never to let the place deteriorate again as it did before the restoration started. The Liberty Memorial is the nation’s only memorial and museum dedicated entirely to World War One. President Carl DiCapo of the Liberty Memorial Association says the key to keeping the memorial and museum vital is to let people know the special place exists. He hopes people who were there for the rededication this weekend will come back … several times.
