The Royals rock this season has been starter Paul Byrd who entered last night’s game with the Angels holding a 7-2 record. After his teammates spotted him a 5-0 lead, the wheels came off in the 7th and 8th innings. Byrd allowed two-run homer to Tim Salmon in the 7th. Then in the 8th the Halos rallied for five runs off Byrd and Darrel May to take the lead. May was tagged with the loss allowing 3 runs in a third of an inning. The Royals finish their road trip with a mark of 3-4. They face the Rangers at home tonight.
