2000 Election Problems Spawn Federal Lawsuit

May 22, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Problems with the 2000 elections in St. Louis are about to bring a federal lawsuit. It will be one of five voting rights lawsuits to be filed nationally by the Justice Department. The Department says the suits shouldbe filed within two months. St. Louis elections authorities say they were told last week the Department would be filing the suit, in part at least because of allegations of improper purging of voter registration rolls.
