May 21, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals became the next in a long line of Angels opponents who have absorbed a blow in the loss column. Anaheim got the best of Kansas City 6-3; they’ve won 19 of their last 22. Scott Spezio, Garrett Anderson, and Brad Fullmer all drove in runs with singles in the first inning. The Halos added another run in the 2nd to make it 4-0. Mike Sweeny drove in a run with a single in the 6th and A.J. Hinch drove in two wtih a single in the 7th for the Royals only tallies. Blake Stein was the loser, dropping to 0-2 allowing 6 runs…..The Royals have called up right hander Mac Suzuki to help with a shortage of pitchers. The rotation is a little used up after this weekends four game series which included a double header on Saturday.
