Victim of 1991 Moniteau County Shooting Spree Convicted Of Sex Crime

May 17, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A tragic footnote to the James Johnson’s killing spree in Moniteau County in 1991. One of the officers Johnson shot and wounded has been convicted of sodomizing and trying to molest his nine-year-old stepdaughter 14 monthsago. A jury recommends 32 years in prison for former Jamestown City Marshall Russell Borts. Borts claimed the girl made up the story. James Johnson was executed earlier this year for killing three law enforcement officers and the wife of the Moniteau County Sheriff.
