First Blue Says Goodbye

Jimmy Roberts was the first skater ever drafted by te St. Louis Blues in 1967. 35 years later, Roberts is retiring. The 62 year old has been an Assistant Coach for the Blues since 1996. He served as interim coach before Joel Quenneville was hired. Roberts played for St. Louis from ’67-’72, then returned to St. Louis for the ’77-’78 campaign. He also served as General Manager/Coach for the Worcester Ice Cats, the Blues minor league team.
