Edmonds Leads Cards Over Cubs

Centerfielder Jim Edmonds went 4-5 with three RBI’s as the Cardinals toppled the Cubs 11-2, handing Chicago their sixth loss in a row. The Redbirds had a 6-2 lead in the 8th inning before exploding for five runs. J.D. Drew hit his sixth homer of the year in the game. Mike Timlin was the winner in relief, improving to 1-2. Garret Stepenson gave up one run in four innings in his first start off the disabled list. Fellow DL mate, Woody Williams makes his first start since coming off tonight.
