Health Department Study Shows Missourians Are Fat … And Getting Fatter

The State Health Department says half of Missourians are overweight and more than 20 percent of us are obese and likely to suffer health consequences. A Department study says Missouri is tenth in the nation in the number of obese residents. It’s time, says a Department official, to start treating obesity as a health issue – not a cosmetic issue.
