Royals Drop Sixth Straight

May 6, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals fell to the Orioles 3-2 on Sunday, losing their sixth in a row. Chris George had a 2-0 lead thanks to a Michael Tucker home run and Chuck Knoblach’s run off a wild pitch. But that lead vanished when George allowed a two-run homer to Jeff Conine and an RBI single to Mike Bordick. He got the loss dropping to 0-3. The Royals have the worst record in baseball with a mark of 8-21……John Mizerock can remain a Royal even if he doesn’t get the managerial position full-time. The Royals have offered him the opportunity to return as the bull pen coach if someone else is hired.
