May 3, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Blues had no answer for the Dominator. Detroit goalie Dominek Hasek stopped all 23 shots he faced, shutting out St. Louis 2-0 in the first game of the seven-game series. Blues goal tender Brent Johnson faced 20 shots, stopping 18 of them. Former Blue, Brett Hull made it 2-0 at the 19:04 mark of the second period with a short-handed goal. Game two is tomorrow with a 12:00 start at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
