Mizerock’s Debut Ends With Loss

The Royals ruined John Mizerock’s debut as interim manager yesterday, losing to the Tigers 9-3. Steve Sparks went the distance, holding Kansas City bats to just two hits. Royals starter Chris George completed five innings, allowing four runs off eight hits and dropping to 0-2. The Royals and Tigers finish their three-game series with a 1:05 start this afternoon. Dan Reichert is 0-3, he gets the start for the Royals.
