Two junior college basketball players have chosen SMS. Barry Hinson’s squad got word that Merrill Andrews of Northern Oklahoma College and Phil Jones of Spoon River (Ill.) College have decided to play for him. Andrews, a 6-1 guard, averaged 19.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and two steals per game. Jones averaged 20 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per contests. He’s 6-0 and played both guard spots. The Bears still have one scholarship left.
