Senate To Consider Revised Version Of Stadium Bill

April 30, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

State senators have a new stadium bill to consider. But they don’t know when they’ll get to consider it. Senator Peter Kinder says he has removed from the bill a propsal for state aid to redevelop downtown Kansas City. He’s put in state aid for development of the Savvis Center in St.Louis – but only if owners also renovate the Kiel Opera House and bring a National Basketball Association team to town. Kinder remains confident he can get his bill passed, based on the numbers he forecast a couple of weeks ago. Less than three weeks are left to get the bill passed in this session.
