April 26, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

More than 1,200 laid off pilots, flight attendants, and ground workers in St. Louis will be recalled by American Airlines by the end of the year. Some of those employees lost their jobs when American absorbed TWA. Others were laid off when airline business slumped after the September terrorist attacks. CEO Donald Carty has told a Washington University audience his company will recall a total of 4,500 laid-off workers.
