Former Chief Signs/Possible Ram Visits

April 25, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Donnie Edwards lead the Chiefs in tackles last season, but salary cap concerns kept him from being re-signed this off season. Edwards has found a new home in Southern California. He signed a seven-year $19 million contract with the Charges yesterday. It also reunites him with former Chief coach Marty Schottenheimer……Free-agent strong safety Chad Cota made a visit to Rams Park yesterday. He’s played with three teams in his seven-year career, the last three with Indianapolis. He’s started every game in the last five seasons, making 527 tackles.
