August A. Busch the Third is stepping down as President and Chief Executive of Anheuser-Busch on July 1st. And, for the first time in 150 years, the company will not be headed by a member of one of the foundingfamiles. The new President and CEO will be Patrick Stokes, who has been in charge of domestic and foreign beer operations. He’s been with the company for 33 years. Busch will stay on as Chairman of the Board for at least another five years. He says he’ll be 65 soon, and although he’s young at heart, it’s time for new people and new perspectives. Waiting in the wings is August Busch the fourth, who will become head of domestic beer operations.
