Economic Development Department Promotes Missouri-Made Medical Device

The State Department of Economic Development is helping a small business market that product that could improve the quality of life for many medical patients. Springfield-based Community Hospices of America developed the Personal Empowerment Technologies system. PET – as it’s called – is a small hand-held monitoring device that allows patients to relay medical information to a doctor orhospital. The state, through the Missouri EnterpriseCenter, has helped market the product. The Missouri Enterprise Center believes that by assisting in themarketing of this product, the state ends up benefitting.
