The St. Louis Rams made seven picks in the draft this weekend. With their first pick on Saturday, they chose middle linebacker Robert Thomas of UCLA. He was the Pac-10’s Defensive Player of the Year and a consensus All-American with 111 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks in 2001. With their second pick the Rams went with cornerback Travis Fisher of Central Florida. The Rams’ final pick on Saturday was Heisman Trophy winner, Eric Crouch of Nebraska, who they want to convert to wide receiver. On Sunday they took guard Travis Scott of Arizona St., linebacker Courtland Bullard of Ohio St., quarterback Steve Bellisari also of Ohio St., and center Chris Massey of Marshall.
