Eureka Priest Denies Abuse Allegation

April 22, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A priest in Eureka has told his congregation he did not abuse a boy 15 years ago, and he will not leave his ministry. The Reverend Alex Anderson has the backing of the St. Louis archdiocese, which says it has investigated the allegation and finds no merit to it. The archdiocese says it has given information to the St. Louis prosecutor. Anderson says he has offered to step aside but the archdiocese has told him he does not need to do so.
