The Cardinals had no answer for the Brewers. Milwaukee finished a sweep of St. Louis with a 5-3 win at Miller Park on Sunday. The Cards took a 2-0 lead in the first inning with Edgar Rentreria’s two-run single. But the Brewers bounced back with two of their own in their half of the first, and took the lead with two more in the fourth inning. Bud Smith got the loss, dropping to 0-2. It was the Cards third straight loss. They’re off tonight and face the Mets at Shea Tuesday.
