Boeing To Sell Jet Fighters To South Korea

April 21, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

South Korea has announced a decision to purchase 40 F-15K jet fighters from Boeing in St. Louis. The value of the contract, for the cost of the planes and associated weapons and support, is nearly $4-Billion. Governor Bob Holden says the sale will have a tremendous impact on the state’s economy. He says the decision is great news because it allows Boeing to keep the F-15 line open beyond 2004 and will save the jobs of 1,000 Boeing workers building the aircraft.
